Pentera, the Israeli cybersecurity company, has made a second round of job cuts this year, laying off about 60 employees, around 30 of them in Israel, and tied the layoffs to its move to become an AI-native company. Calcalist reported on 17 August 2026 that the cuts reach every department, research and development included, and follow about 40 layoffs in April, bringing the total to roughly 100, about 20 percent of a 470-person workforce. In a statement to Calcalist the company said: "Pentera is preparing for the rapid changes taking place in the market against the backdrop of the dramatic increase in artificial intelligence capabilities and the adoption of AI-based solutions. Accordingly, we are completing the transformation of the company's platform and making it AI-native." It is still hiring for AI-related roles. Pentera, which sells automated penetration testing, raised a $60 million Series D in March 2025 and has passed $100 million in annual revenue. Its statement is about where the product and the market are going; it does not say AI is now doing the work of the people being laid off, so these AI-linked job cuts are recorded as an article and not as a counted AI job loss. The employer-attributed AI job cuts on record are in the AI layoffs tracker on this site.
