Calling it “removing complexity” sounds a lot nicer than saying 3,300 people are losing their jobs. The $10 billion robotaxi commitment in the same announcement makes the direction pretty clear.
As someone from India, the part about increasing entry-level hiring actually caught my attention. Everyone keeps saying AI will reduce fresher jobs, so it’s interesting to see IBM saying the opposite.
