Rackspace Technology is cutting about 15% of its global workforce as it realigns around enterprise AI, according to its own SEC filing. In an 8-K dated 10 June 2026 the company said the plan is "intended to accelerate the Company's strategic transformation as the operator for governed enterprise AI" and will "realign its workforce around how production AI is deployed, operated and scaled inside regulated enterprises". It says the reduction is "predominantly driven by the Company's strategic decision to deemphasize certain legacy service delivery functions" and geographic rationalizations, in favor of redeploying resources toward its enterprise AI buildout. A majority of the affected employees were notified on or around 10 June, with further exits over the following six months. The filing gives the share, about 15%, but no headcount; press reports of around 750 are not in the filing. Rackspace does not say AI is doing the work of the people leaving, so this is a dispatch about a company moving money and staff toward AI, not a counted event in the AI layoffs tracker on this site.
