Your week as 40 tiles: how much of your work can AI reach?
AI rarely replaces a whole job; it takes tasks one at a time, fastest where the work is routine and rule-bound. Start from a typical role or a blank page, sort your tasks into four groups, and watch your 40-hour week fill in. Nothing you type leaves your browser.
Starter task lists use the paper's own examples. The hours are placeholders: change them to your real week.

How the four groups work
| Group | Examples | Direction |
|---|---|---|
| Routine, scripted, high-volume | Password resets, order status, payment reminders | Exposed now |
| Rule-bound paperwork | Invoice matching, reconciliation, form pre-filling | Exposed, human sign-off remains |
| First-pass research and checks | Case-law search, inspection against a standard | Changing fast |
| Judgment, trust, negotiation | High-value sales, collections, complex escalations | Slower to change |
What this is, and is not
This is a self-assessment, not a prediction and not an official score. The groups are our simplification of the examples in "How AI Is Reconfiguring Work in India" (Centre for Responsible AI, IIT Madras, October 2026), which treats tasks, jobs and occupations as separate levels. We read that paper in full in our write-up, including where its own evidence is thin. Whether your employer changes anything depends on its own choices, which this page cannot see.
For what employers have actually said about AI and jobs, see the tracker. Privacy: the page works entirely in your browser.
