q.beyond is cutting jobs, mainly in managed services and administration, and the German IT services company says the job cuts are part of an accelerated AI transformation. In a release on 10 August 2026, chief financial officer Nora Wolters said: "The existing structures no longer fit market conditions. With the support of AI, we now have the chance to make our organisation future-proof." The release continues: "For this, the company will cut jobs in the coming months, mainly in managed services and administration" (our translation). It gives no number; q.beyond had 1,133 employees at 30 June 2026. The company expected one-off costs of about EUR 5 million to 6 million this year for the programme. On 21 October it booked EUR 4.3 million of provisions in the third quarter "for the accelerated AI transformation announced in August 2026", cut its full-year EBITDA forecast to minus EUR 4 million to minus EUR 2 million, and said the transformation will save about EUR 7 million a year from 2027. Weak investment by German mid-sized customers is the other reason the company gives for the reset. The cut is counted in the AI layoffs tracker on this site, without a job count, because the employer itself ties the job cuts to reorganising around AI.
